In the past on TCT we've had the list of best english hits of both 2011 and 2012, so high time we had a list of hindi songs, the best hits that we've seen so far in 2012.
Featuring the likes of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, K.K., Shreya Ghoshal etc. While among the Music Directors this year Pritam has stood the tallest with some exceptional compositions.
All in all, 2012 so far has been a transcendent year in terms of Bollywood music. Along-with the list, as an added bonus you guys can make use of the Mp3 download links and lyrics links.

The first song on the list is from the hit movie "Vicky Donor". Written, composed and sung by the multi-talented VJ turned actor Ayushmann.
He has said to have composed the song in his college days along-with a close friend. While waiting for a good opportunity all this time he approached the director with the song and the rest they say is history.
With its soft Punjabi, Hindi mixed vocals and soothing music, the song has won many-a-hearts country wide. It has been a chart-buster as well as a big hit across various radio channels.

2) Aashiyan

Next on the list, we have "Aashiyan", a very beautiful track from the movie Barfi! (India's entry to the Oscars this year).
In the voice of Nikhil Paul George and Shreya Ghoshal this cute track will leave you satiated for sure. Moreover I even enjoyed the way the song is picturised in the movie.
Overall the movie has a fabulous collection of songs, other worthy mentions would be "Saawali Si Raat", "Barfi", "Main Kya Karun".

Nasal sensation (pun intended) Himesh Reshammiya has marked his arrival this year, with some laudable music compositions including this movie's album.
Other praise-worthy tracks from the movie are, "Yeh jo halki halki khumariya" and the peppy track by Mika Singh "Rani tu main raja".

Yaariyan from the movie "Cocktail" is the 4th song on the list, another composition by Pritam.
Singers Mohan Kanan, Shilpa Rao have done a credible job, along with great lyrics by Irshad Kamil. The song is about friendship, as the title "Yaariyan" suggests.
Other worthy recommendations from the movie are "Jugni", "Daaru Desi".

I fell in love with the song, from the very first listen. That is exactly the kind off magic K.K. weaves from his voice.

In Rabbi Shergill's voice Challa from the movie "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" is the 6th track on the list.
The song has received massive commercial acclaim, even though the picturisation of the song is dubious with certainly no voice similarity between SRK and Rabbi.

A Rahat Fateh Ali Khan song, Chaahat is melodious as well as lyrically beautiful.
Relatively new Music Director Jeet Ganguly has composed the album for the movie.

The last but definitely not the least song on the list is Raabta (Kehte Hain Khuda) from the ambitious Indian spy movie Agent Vinod.
The song has been recorded in 3 versions in the movie album, this particular one has been sung collectively by Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, Hamsika.

i loved Dua a lot.. and ws really disappointed that it ws not in the movie .. List is good but i guess were were more songs worth a mention .. List of 10 sounds like a non-musical year :)
