<h1><b> Best English Songs Of 2012 </b></h1>

So the past couple of posts were movie reviews, now I'm back again with a brand new list of most popular english songs of 2012, the top 20 English songs. So for anybody who has been not in touch with the latest songs, this should be a good enough list.

These Top songs of 2012 are not arranged in any particular order. And the list is no genre specific. It also includes some Hits from the later part of 2011 which weren't included in the 2011 post.

Along with the the list, keeping with the tradition at TCT I'm attaching certain helpful links via which you guys can download songs for free, you can checkout the song lyrics, for guitar lovers (like me) I'm giving out guitar chords and even watch the embedded video for each song.

2) Kelly Clarkson – Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)

This upbeat and vibrant track from the beautiful American pop singer Kelly Clarkson is part of her new album 'Stronger'. It was originally named 'What doesn't kill you (Stronger)'. This one will surely stay in your playlist for a long time. Okay honestly speaking I'm not a JB fan, but music is and should be beyond any prejudices. So I gave this song a listen given its immense popularity and to my surprise its really good and the Canadian teenage sensation Justin Beiber certainly seems to have grown up in terms of his music. The song boasts of a catchy tune, and infectious music. 4) Nicki Minaj – Starships

This song 'Starships' from the Caribbean-American artist 'Nicki Minaj' is quite a fun track from her second album 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded'. With a controversial, explicit video and lyrics this single has become quite popular. It is that type of a song that makes you hit the replay button again and again courtesy its uniqueness. 'Give Your Heart A Break' is the latest track from the talented 19-year old American Artist 'Demi Lovato'. It is from her third album 'Unbroken'. The single peaked in the Top 40 charts, giving Demi much acclaim for her singing as well. Overall a great track. 7) Maroon 5 feat. Wiz Khalifa – Payphone

One of my old favorite pop rock/alternative rock bands Maroon 5's new single 'Payphone' has been recorded in collaboration with the American Rapper 'Wiz Khalifa' and is from their fourth studio album 'Overexposed'. This single is a pop ballad talking about a romance that is no more. Within a couple of listens I'm certain anyone would start humming this catchy number. The song video is animated though but quite good. 8) Taylor Swift – Eyes Open

'Eyes Open' is the new track from the popular American country pop singer 'Taylor Swift' that is part of the soundtrack album of the movie 'The Hunger Games'. The song was considered a standout from the rest of the album, and has achieved critical acclaim as well. In the sweet voice of Taylor Swift this song will definitely win your hearts. A bit less popular single 'We Are Young' is an amazing track from the American alternative rock band 'Fun' part of their latest album 'Some Nights' featuring Janelle Monáe. The song peaked at the number 1 spot on the U.S Billboard Hot 100 becoming the 1st alternative rock song to do so after Colplay's Viva La Vida in 2008. It is quite a unique song, with an interesting video. 10) Flo Rida - Whistle

American rapper "Flo Rida's" new single 'Whistle' from his fourth studio album 'Wild Ones' has already become a commercial success. The whistling melody heard in the background makes the song catchy and gives it that X-Factor. Due the whistle the song has been compared to Maroon 5's Moves Like Jagger. Although receiving mixed reviews from the critics the song has peaked the charts in many countries. 11) Jason Mraz - I Won’t Give Up

'I Won't Give Up' by American artist 'Jason Mraz' of 'I'm Yours' fame is a beautiful song and also one of my favorites amongst the others on the list. After just one listen I was a big fan of this emotional romantic number in the amazing voice of Jason accompanied by a piano and guitar. Those people facing problems in their relationships should certainly listen to this song and gain some much needed inspiration. The lyric video of the song that I have embedded in the end is also a fabulous piece of work and no doubt it has got more hits than the official music video on YouTube. The second song by 'Katy Perry' in my list, 'Wide Awake' is from her latest album 'Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection'. Electro beats are used in the song, which make it an interesting listen. The lyrics represent the heart breaking emotions experienced by a girl after z break up, as is shown in the video. 'Burn It Down' is a new single by the popular American rock band 'Linkin Park' from their fifth studio album 'Living Things'. The track and the band has received a great response from the critics. The most distinguished thing about this indie-pop ballad is its uniqueness. The track has peaked at the Numero Uno spot in most of the song charts all over the globe. The video of the track features the singers naked with artwork on their body, camouflaging superbly with the background. The video is amongst the most popular ones on YouTube with a 9-digit hit rate. Last but certainly not the least on the list is the 2011 hit song 'What Makes You Beautiful' by the relatively new but quite famous British-Irish boy band 'One Direction'. The song is their debut single from their first album 'Up All Night'. The track has brought many laurels, accolades to the boy band. Great vocals and the teen appeal have been the attraction for the song. In the video the boys can be seen singing and having fun.
