There is a song for every occasion, for every mood so here in this Post I’m presenting to you Guys my All-time Favourite my Best English Songs ever, these are 20 of them.
As I’m romantic at heart ;) So most of these songs are of the same genre. It was a very tough job segregating and selecting these 20 songs amongst all, so I haven’t or let’s say I couldn’t further number all these songs.

Eric Clapton – Tears In Heaven

"Tears in Heaven" is a beautiful ballad written by Eric Clapton and Will Jennings about the pain and loss Clapton felt following the death of his four-year-old son, Conor. Conor fell from a window of the 53rd-floor New York apartment of his mother's friend on March 20, 1991. Clapton, who arrived at the apartment shortly after the accident, was visibly distraught ever since. This is one of Clapton's most successful songs, reaching #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in the U.S., featuring a classical guitar as the lead instrument. Metallica – Nothing Else Matters

I simply love this song, and I can listen to it day and night without a halt. Also my Favourite Metallica song. Singer and rhythm guitarist James Hetfield wrote the song (credited to Hetfield/Ulrich) while he was on the phone with his then girlfriend. Since he held the phone with one hand, he plucked the four open strings of a standard E-minor chord with the other, which eventually made up the first two bars of the song. The lyrics, which talk about being "so close, no matter how far", were also dedicated to his girlfriend, indicating the bond they shared even when Hetfield was on tour. It wouldn’t be wrong to say, that this time-less classic is my Favourite song. I’ve been in awe of the song since the very first time I heard it and saw its live video on VH1, Jimmy Page playing his Double-Deck guitar left me mesmerized. "Stairway to Heaven" is often rated among the greatest rock songs of all time. It continues to top radio lists of the greatest rock songs, as well as topping a 2006 Guitar World readers’ poll of greatest guitar solos. Also please give a listen to Kashmir by Led Zeppelin. Bryan Adams – Please Forgive Me

Among my Favourite solo Artists, this one is a soothing master-piece by this Canadian legend, Bryan Adams. It is one of his greatest and amongst his most popular songs. The single reached number two in the UK, number seven in the US and number one in Australia. The song was praised by critics upon its release, and has given Adams one of his best chart performances to date. The song was co-written and produced by Mutt Lange. It was a massive radio hit all over the world, and became an instant hit amongst Adams fans. The single has sold over 3 million copies worldwide. Bryan Adams – Summer Of ‘69

This song needs no introduction, another Classic by Bryan Adams. I personally have many fond memories with the song. It was written by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallace in their basement studio. The song went through a number of changes because neither Adams nor Vallace was convinced it was a strong enough song to be featured on the album. In their first draft, the lyric "summer of '69" appeared only once. At that time the two were planning to title it "Best Days of My Life" instead. While the lyric; "best days of my life" appeared seven times in the first draft, on the final draft it had been replaced by "summer of '69" and only appeared two times throughout the song. Eagles – Hotel California

One of the Most famous songs of all times, the song has got a really amazing and catchy tune and rhythm to it that makes you fall for it from the very first listen. The song is rated highly in many rock music lists and polls, though it did not get critical acclaim right away. Rolling Stone magazine, for example, originally spoke poorly of Hotel California in the very same issue in which it featured The Eagles on the cover. As one of the group's most popular and well-known songs, "Hotel California" has been a concert staple for the band since its release. The magical sound of the saxophone riff, that takes you to another level is what makes this song Spectacular other than the fine singing. The song was George Michael's first solo single although he was still performing in Wham! at the time. It was released as a single and became a huge commercial success on both sides of the Atlantic. It reached number one in nearly 25 countries, selling about six million copies worldwide. Michael said that he wrote it "in his head" during work and that he recalls coming up with the saxophone riff whilst boarding a number 32 bus on the way home. How can a list of great songs be complete without the presence of The King of Pop, MJ aka Michael Jackson, ‘Beat It’ is a huge commercial success, it was awarded two Grammy Awards and two American Music Awards and was inducted into the Music Video Producers Hall of Fame. "Beat It" (along with the song's music video) propelled Thriller into becoming the best-selling album of all time. The single was certified platinum in 1989. The music video for "Beat It" helped establish Jackson as an international pop icon. The video was Jackson's first treatment of black youth and the streets. Another superb song in the beautiful voice of Ronan Keating, the song has got great romantic deeper meaning to it. "When You Say Nothing at All" is the debut solo single of Ronan Keating. The song was recorded in 1999 for the soundtrack of the film Notting Hill. It also appeared on Keating's debut solo album, Ronan. The song was released on July 26, 1999 in the United Kingdom. It peaked at number-one in the UK, Ireland, and New Zealand. In the UK, the single was certified gold. Keating although has received a lot of bad press in recent years passing off the song as his own work when he, in fact, covered the original. Pink Floyd – Comfortably Numb

This awesome creation of the legendary English rock band Pink Floyd was a part of their historic album “The Wall”. While most songs on The Wall were written by Waters alone, most of the music for "Comfortably Numb" was written by David Gilmour.The song is one of the most famous Pink Floyd songs and renowned especially for its guitar solos. In 2004, the song was ranked number 314 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. This romantic song "Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You" is a popular song by Gerry Goffin and Michael Masser. It was originally recorded by George Benson for his 1984 album 20/20. Turtles – So Happy Together

"So Happy Together" is a lesser known song in my list, great music amazing meaningful lyrics about finding true love and being satiated with it. It is a 1967 song by the The Turtles' album of the same name. Released in February 1967, the song knocked The Beatles' "Penny Lane" out of the #1 slot for three weeks on the Billboard Hot 100. It was the group's only chart-topper. "Happy Together" reached #12 on the UK Singles Chart in April 1967. The song was written by Garry Bonner and Alan Gordon, former members of a band known as The Magicians. I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" is a fantastic song, it has been a regular in my playlist since a long time, it was performed by American rock band Aerosmith for the 1998 film Armageddon. Written by Diane Warren, the song debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 (a first for the band after 28 years together). The song stayed at number one for four weeks from September 5 to September 26, 1998. The song also stayed at #1 for several weeks in several other countries. In the United Kingdom, the song peaked at number four in November 1998, becoming Aerosmith's highest charting song in the UK to date. Goo Goo Dolls – Iris

Again one of my Most favourite songs ever, this one was even my Caller-tune song for a long time ;) "Iris" is a song by American alternative rock band the Goo Goo Dolls. Originally written for the soundtrack of 1998 film City of Angels, the song was later included on the band's sixth album Dizzy Up the Girl. "Iris" has contributed greatly to the band's success. It is the longest charting number one single in Billboard Hot 100 Airplay history with 18 weeks in the number one spot. The instrumentals in the song are heavily driven by guitar riffs, mandolin, violins, and cellos, with a steady drum beat beneath. The acoustic guitar in the song gives a distinctive sound as it is in an odd tuning, with 5 of the 6 strings tuned to D. This gives a ringing effect similar to a 12-string guitar. Again no introductions needed for this awesome song, one of Enrique Iglesias’s finest creations with an amazing video.
